Executive Committee

Tasks: Ongoing oversight of MCA. Meets monthly, both by phone and in person.

Meeting Schedule
The Executive Committee will meet on the first Wednesday of the month, and may also hold other special meetings as needed. Meetings will mostly be held by phone, and occasionally at the MCA offices in person as needed. All meetings begin at 9:30 a.m.

Finance Committee

Tasks: Monitor MCA budget, revenue and expenses. Meets quarterly and as needed, usually by phone.

Membership Committee

Members: Ann Spencer, Chair. Cropp, Dowse, Dunn, Hudgins, Kent, Petersen, Rasmussen, Schumacher Staff: Albers

Tasks: Oversee and facilitate membership drives. Meets quarterly and as needed, usually by phone. Ad Hoc Development Committee may provide additional ideas.

Nominations Committee

Members: David Marty, Chair. Adams, Burns, Dunn, Pease, Shiomi, Stearns, Terryll, Venne Staff: Smith

Tasks: Recruit new board members. Track MCA board member volunteer involvement. Meets July - Oct, usually by phone. Ad Hoc Diversity Committee may provide ideas and nominees.

Ballot Campaign Communications Committee

Members: Michael Robins, Chair. Adams, Agustin, Boren-Barrett, Darland, Dunn, Marty, Miller, Sutton, Vander Kooi Jr. Staff: Albers

Tasks: Brainstorm and help execute MCA’s portion of the statewide ballot campaign by creating and disseminating communications carrying ballot messages to the arts community and public at large. May create subcommittees. Meets as needed.

Advocacy Day Committee

Members: Sheila Terryll, Chair. Dunn, Flintrop, Hansen, Hunter, Kent, McGrath, Thompson Rundahl, Wafler, Zielske Staff: Albers

Tasks: Facilitate board member roles in advocacy events such as Advocacy Day and the MCA Evangelical project. May create subcommittees. Meets as needed, usually Oct. to May.

Ad Hoc AIE

Members: Michael Robins, Chair. Agustin, Boren-Barrett, Dunn, Hansen, Rasmussen, Schumacher. Staff: Smith

Tasks: Monitors AIE issues, serves as liason to the Arts Education Consortium. Meets as needed.

Ad Hoc Diversity

Members: Carolyn Bye, Chair. Adams, Burns, Dunn, Shiomi, White. Staff: Smith

Tasks: Charged with coming up with ideas to involve more people of color in MCA activities with a goal of cultivating more people of color to serve on the board. Meets as needed. (Work will assist Nominations Committee)

Coordinated Campaign Steering Committee

Members: Craig Dunn, Leslie Schumacher, Sheila Smith, Larry Redmond, Kevin Smith

Tasks: Meet monthly with conservation, parks and hunting groups to coordinate and execute statewide ballot campaign.

Accessibility Coordinator

Members: Craig Dunn

Tasks: Update Accessibility plan as needed, and serve as a resource. (Not a committee).
